Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Design Manager to join our team in Amman, Jordan. The successful candidate will lead engineering design activities, oversee technical teams, and ensure the delivery of efficient, accurate, and high-quality designs for solar energy projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the engineering design team across multiple solar energy projects. Oversee the design and engineering of commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar PV systems. Review and approve technical drawings, engineering calculations, design specifications, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, technical regulations, and project requirements. Supervise PV system layouts, electrical designs, equipment selection, and technical optimization. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders throughout project execution. Provide technical support during tendering, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases. Develop and implement design standards, quality control procedures, and engineering best practices. Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, optimize project costs, and enhance design performance. Manage design schedules, technical deliverables, and engineering resources to meet project deadlines. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 10–12 years of relevant engineering and design experience, preferably in the solar energy or renewable energy sector. Proven experience in managing engineering design teams and overseeing complex technical projects. Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, electrical engineering principles, and international technical standards. Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and other industry-standard tools. Experience with commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar projects is highly preferred. Strong technical leadership, project coordination, and decision-making skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
