Our technology mirrors our people - Smart, Innovative & Forward Thinking www.geidea.net To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new "Quality Assurance Intern" Job Purpose: The Software Testing Intern will support the Quality Assurance (QA) team in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. The intern will participate in testing activities, identify and report defects, validate fixes, and contribute to delivering high-quality products that meet business and user requirements. Requirements: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Basic knowledge of web and mobile application testing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues accurately. Good communication and teamwork skills. Eagerness to learn and develop technical and professional skills. Qualifications: Understanding of testing types, including Functional, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus. Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts is preferred. Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is an advantage. Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language is a plus. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred. Previous academic projects or coursework related to software quality assurance or testing is an added advantage.
