Job Title: Director of Operations / General Manager Industry: Legal Services / Professional Services Location: Cairo, Egypt (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are a growing, reputable law firm seeking a seasoned, authoritative, and results-driven Director of Operations / General Manager to take strategic and executive ownership of our business operations at our Cairo office. In this senior leadership capacity, you will oversee all non-legal business units—including Sales/Business Development, Marketing, Client Relations/Customer Care, and General Administration—driving rigorous operational governance, commercial expansion, and organizational efficiency. (Important Note: This is strictly an operational and business leadership position. A legal background or law degree is NOT required; we are exclusively seeking extensive executive management experience, robust business acumen, and proven leadership capability). Key Responsibilities: Executive Operational Governance: Direct all day-to-day business operations, instilling institutional standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow automation, and structured KPI frameworks across all operational departments. Commercial Leadership & Scale: Guide and hold accountable the sales and marketing functions to accelerate client acquisition, optimize conversion funnels, and maximize revenue growth. Client Experience & Service Quality: Establish high-tier client care and relationship-management standards to secure long-term client retention, seamless communication, and institutional satisfaction benchmarks. Strategic Decision-Making & People Leadership: Exercise full decision-making authority on operational matters, streamline cross-functional workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and mentor departmental heads. Operational Alignment: Bridge the operational workflows between business development, legal consultants, and administrative teams to ensure balanced workload distribution, cost efficiency, and service-level agreement (SLA) adherence. Financial & Performance Oversight: Monitor operational budgets, oversee departmental P&L metrics, and deliver strategic performance dashboards and actionable reporting directly to ownership/partners. Candidate Requirements & Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years of proven operational leadership or general management experience, with at least 4–5 years in a senior executive role (General Manager, Operations Director, COO, or Head of Business Operations) managing multi-departmental teams. Sector Background: Prior experience leading operations in professional services, management consulting, corporate advisory, multinational corporations, or large service-driven organizations in Egypt or the MENA region. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or Finance is required; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate management degree is strongly preferred. (A legal degree is not required). Executive Authority: Strong track record of executive decision-making, organizational restructuring, operational turnaround, and performance management. Commercial Proficiency: In-depth mastery of B2B corporate sales pipelines, high-value client acquisition strategies, CRM ecosystems, and enterprise operational tools. Communication & Fluency: Flawless executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
