Digital Transformation Specialist – GIS 📍 Location: Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪 Nationality: Emirati 💼 Experience: 5+ years We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Digital Transformation Specialist with strong expertise in GIS, digital twins, and spatial intelligence to support infrastructure planning and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain GIS environments, spatial data models, geospatial services, and databases. Develop digital-twin solutions integrating BIM models, spatial data, and live project/asset information. Deliver spatial analytics, 3D visualizations, and dashboards to support decision-making. Integrate geospatial data with enterprise platforms and APIs. Ensure spatial data quality, metadata standards, and compliance with data governance and security requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful digital solutions and mentor junior team members. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred. 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering GIS and spatial solutions in production environments. Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS and/or QGIS, spatial databases such as PostGIS or Oracle Spatial, and geospatial services/APIs. Demonstrable experience in digital twins, BIM–GIS integration, or 3D spatial modelling. Strong Python programming and SQL skills, with experience consuming and developing APIs. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, spatial dashboards, and web mapping. Full professional proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential. ⭐ Experience in infrastructure, construction, government projects, BIM tools, or reality capture technologies such as drones and LiDAR will be an advantage.
