Senior Java Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer JAVA at Systems Arabia design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and enterprise applications using Java-based technologies, Quarkus, and microservices architecture. Contribute to application design, cloud-native development, platform integration, quality engineering, and automated delivery across Dev/Test/Prod environments. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend services and enterprise applications using Java and Quarkus. Build and maintain microservices with REST APIs, well-defined service boundaries, and reusable components. Develop and maintain frontend applications using Angular 22+. Implement authentication/authorization, input validation, logging, exception handling, and error management patterns. Design and integrate SQL-based data solutions to support application requirements. Integrate applications with Kafka for event-driven communication and asynchronous processing. Work with OpenShift and Istio to support containerized application deployment and service mesh capabilities. Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions across Dev/Test/Prod environments. Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automated deployments using Tekton and ArgoCD. Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Java and backend application development. Solid experience with Quarkus framework and microservices architecture. Strong frontend development experience using Angular 22+. Good understanding of RESTful APIs, API integration, and service-to-service communication. Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP principles, collections, exception handling, generics, and multithreading fundamentals. Experience with SQL databases, including database design, queries, and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture. Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes-based container platforms. Understanding of Istio service mesh concepts and microservices communication. Hands-on experience with Tekton for CI/CD pipeline automation. Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps-based continuous delivery. Understanding of automated testing, unit testing, and integration testing practices. Proficiency in Git and standard branching/version control practices. Exposure to DevOps practices, cloud-native architectures, and automated deployment strategies. Show more Show less
