Internal Auditor

Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will support the execution of risk-based internal audits, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and contribute to strengthening the Company's governance, risk management, and compliance processes. Key Resonsbilities Execute risk-based internal audits in accordance with the approved annual audit plan. Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various business functions. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures. Identify control weaknesses, compliance gaps, and areas for process improvement. Prepare audit working papers, document findings, and develop practical recommendations. Draft audit reports and communicate findings to relevant management. Monitor and follow up on agreed corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Support risk assessments and the development of audit programmes. Coordinate with internal departments, external auditors, and other relevant stakeholders as required. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, or audit consulting. Sound knowledge of risk-based auditing, internal controls, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent. Previous experience in the insurance or financial services sector. Familiarity with Qatar Central Bank regulatory requirements.
