Banking Relationship and Onboarding Specialist

THE ROLE We are looking for a Banking Relationship and Onboarding Specialist to help our clients open and keep bank accounts in the UAE and Hong Kong. You will prepare strong bank files, manage the relationship with banks and guide clients through every step until the account is live. Banking relationships are a core part of our offer, so this is a key role in the firm. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare complete bank account opening files for companies and individuals: corporate documents, KYC, business profile, source of funds and expected activity. • Present client files to banks and follow up with relationship managers and onboarding teams until the account is opened. • Prepare clients for bank interviews and explain clearly what banks expect and why. • Handle periodic bank reviews, KYC refreshes and information requests for existing clients. • Build and maintain good working relationships with banks, payment institutions and electronic money providers in the UAE and Hong Kong. • Keep track of each bank's appetite, requirements and timelines, and share this knowledge with the team. • Work closely with the compliance team so that every file we present is complete and consistent. • Coordinate with the Hong Kong office on bank files for Hong Kong companies. • Keep the client tracker and CRM up to date and report on open files. REQUIREMENTS • Degree in finance, business, law or a related field. • At least two years of experience in bank onboarding, corporate banking, relationship management or bank account opening at a corporate service provider. • Good knowledge of UAE bank account opening and KYC requirements for companies and individuals. • Good understanding of company structures, UBO checks and source of funds documentation. • Clear, confident communication with clients and bankers. • Organised, persistent and comfortable managing many files at the same time. • Based in the UAE or ready to relocate, with flexibility to travel to Hong Kong. NICE TO HAVE • Experience with bank account opening in Hong Kong. • An existing network with UAE or Hong Kong banks. • Experience with free zone companies and holding structures. • Experience with payment institutions and electronic money accounts. LANGUAGES Fluent English is required. Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin or French is a strong plus.
