Backend Engineer – Laravel / MySQL (ERP & Integrations)

About Matajer AI Matajer AI is a private-sector technology company in Ajman, UAE. We build a multi-tenant ERP and commerce operations platform (Laravel / MySQL) for inventory, catalog, pricing, orders and finance. The role A hands-on backend role for a sharp engineer who loves clean data models and reliable systems. You will build core ERP modules and integrations alongside our architect and the founder. We care about fundamentals and problem-solving more than years of experience. What you will do • Build Laravel backend features: services, APIs, jobs and queues • Write efficient SQL and design tables with correct keys, indexes and constraints • Build and maintain integrations (marketplaces, payments, shipping) via REST and webhooks • Write automated tests and take part in code reviews • Debug production issues and improve performance Must-have • Strong PHP / Laravel fundamentals • Good relational database design and SQL (joins, indexes, transactions) • Experience building and consuming REST APIs • Git and code-review workflow • Legally able to work in the UAE (visa can be provided) and able to work on-site in Ajman, 6 days per week Preferred • 2–5 years of backend experience • Queues/Redis, webhooks, e-commerce or ERP domain experience • Vue.js and AI coding tools What we offer • Salary: AED 3,500 – 5,000 per month, depending on skills and experience • UAE visa and work permit provided as part of the employment contract • Housing allowance • Transport allowance • Annual leave • Working schedule: 6 days per week, on-site at our Ajman office • Learn ERP architecture directly with the founder How to apply Apply with your CV and answer the screening questions.
