Role Description The High School English Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assigning and grading student work, and providing constructive feedback to support student progress. The role involves maintaining classroom discipline, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, and integrating reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills into lessons. The teacher will also communicate regularly with parents and guardians, collaborate with colleagues, participate in school meetings and events, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture. Qualifications Ability to design effective lesson plans and instructional materials (Lesson Planning). Strong subject-matter expertise and classroom experience in secondary-level English instruction (English Teaching, Teaching). Excellent interpersonal and classroom communication skills to engage students and collaborate with families and colleagues (Communication). Proficient academic and creative writing skills to model effective written expression for students (Writing). Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; advanced degree or teaching certification is preferred. Experience teaching high school students in an international or diverse educational environment is an advantage. Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
