Deputy Risk and Compliance Manager

Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance is seeking an experienced compliance professional to oversee its Compliance and AML/CFT activities. This role calls for sound judgment, independence and the ability to work across the business to manage regulatory risk. Key responsibilities Oversee the implementation and regular review of AML/CFT policies, procedures, systems and controls. Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies, and ensure that identified concerns are investigated and addressed. Receive and assess internal suspicious transaction reports and fulfil the role’s related reporting responsibilities. Act as a point of contact for relevant authorities on AML/CFT matters. Report significant compliance matters, breaches and corrective actions to senior management and the Board. Keep the organisation informed of relevant regulatory developments and support the delivery of compliance and AML/CFT training. Qualifications and experience A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or a related discipline. 5–10 years of relevant experience, including 2–4 years in a comparable role. Strong knowledge of AML/CFT requirements and compliance practices in a regulated financial institution. The ability to investigate complex issues, communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and handle confidential matters with discretion. Experience in insurance is preferred. CAMS certification or an equivalent AML qualification is an advantage. Bilingual (English/Arabic) Show more Show less
