We're hiring: Product Manager
Monerti · Manama, Bahrain · Full time, on site · Sunday to Thursday
About the role
We're looking for a commercially minded Product Manager who understands the market like a business developer and can talk to engineers like one of their own. You will be the link between our customers, the market and the engineering team. You will spend real time with clients, property owners, real estate companies and users, understand what they need and what they will pay for, and turn that into clear product decisions the engineering team can build. You will report directly to the founder and work closely with business development, engineering, design, marketing and operations.
This is not a back office role and not a project coordination role. The right person is out in the market every week, comes back with evidence, decides what gets built and why, and stays with every feature until customers are using it and paying for it.
What you will do
Market and customers
• Meet clients, property owners, real estate companies and end users regularly to understand their problems, habits and buying decisions
• Join business development meetings and sales calls to hear objections and requests first hand
• Track competitors in Bahrain and the wider region: what they launch, how they price, where they win and where they lose
• Turn what you learn into clear insight the whole company can act on
Product direction
• Define what we build and why, with clear goals tied to revenue, retention and customer value
• Own the product roadmap and set priorities with the founder
• Shape pricing, packaging and positioning together with business development and marketing
• Say no to work that doesn't move the numbers, and explain why
Working with engineering
• Translate business and customer needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Work with engineers every day: answer questions, make trade offs and unblock decisions quickly
• Own the backlog and run sprint planning and sprint reviews with the engineering team
• Work with designers on flows and screens before they reach engineering
• Test features before release and sign off that they work the way customers need
Launch and results
• Plan launches with marketing and business development, and brief the sales and customer teams on everything new
• Define and track product metrics such as activation, retention, conversion to payment and revenue per customer
• Find where users drop off, drive the fixes and measure the results
• Report product progress, metrics and market insight to management every week
What success looks like
• First 30 days: you have met clients and users, you know the product, the data and the team, and you own a prioritised roadmap
• By 90 days: every feature in progress has a clear business case and a measurable goal, sprints run on a steady rhythm, and business development and engineering work from the same priorities
• By 6 months: measurable improvement in how customers sign up, use and pay for the product, driven by features you defined
What you need
• 4+ years in product management, or in business development or a commercial role working closely with engineering teams on apps or web platforms
• Proven experience taking products or features from market insight to launch. Be ready to walk us through what you built, why, and the results
• Strong business sense: you understand pricing, unit economics, customer acquisition and what drives revenue
• Comfortable in a meeting with clients and senior decision makers, and equally comfortable in a technical discussion with engineers
• Enough technical understanding to discuss APIs, integrations, data and trade offs credibly with engineers. You don't need to code
• Hands on experience with Agile or Scrum and managing a backlog in Linear, Jira or a similar tool
• Excellent writing: requirements and specs engineers can build from without guessing
• Comfortable with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase or GA4, and with spreadsheets
• A solid understanding of the Bahrain market and how people and businesses here make decisions
• Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written
Nice to have
• Experience in real estate, proptech or consumer apps
• Experience in a startup or fast growing company
• Working knowledge of Figma
• Basic SQL
• Experience building products for Arabic and right to left interfaces
• Product management certification or formal training
Who you are
You are a business person who speaks engineering. You are curious about customers, you go and find out instead of guessing, and you back every decision with evidence. You are comfortable saying no, you care about outcomes over output, and you don't consider a feature done until customers are using it and paying for it.
What we offer
• A senior role with real ownership of the product and direct access to the founder
• A competitive package
• A fast moving environment where good ideas get implemented quickly
• Room to grow with the company
