PRJKT8, Moda Mall, Bahrain PRJKT8 opened at Moda Mall in 2016 as a concept boutique for independent watchmaking. Today we are official retailer for H. Moser & Cie., MB&F, URWERK, Ressence, LAURENT FERRIER, Czapek, Armin Strom, Grönefeld and other watchmakers. At Moda Mall you will also find our brand spaces for H. Moser & Cie. and MB&F, and eight°, our lifestyle house. Our founder sat on the jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2024. We only carry brands we love, and we look for people who feel the same about watches. Selling independent watches is a different job At many luxury watch boutiques, the brand has done the selling before the client walks in. Much of the work is managing a waiting list and deciding who gets a watch. Ours runs the other way. Many people who walk into PRJKT8 have never heard of the watchmakers in our windows, and some of those houses make fewer than 200 watches a year. So the sale starts with curiosity: who made this, how it works, why it costs what it does, and why so few exist. You earn it with knowledge and patience, and by putting the watch on the client’s wrist. Our clients range from first-time buyers to collectors who have owned the famous names and come to us for something else. Some know a great deal, and every one of them gets the same care. A sale can take one visit or several months. We sell a watch on what it is, not on what it might be worth later, and when it is done well the relationship lasts for years. The role As Store Manager you run the boutique day to day and set its tone: how we welcome people, how we explain a watch, and how we follow up. You lead the team on the floor, and you sell. What you will do Run the store at Moda Mall, open 10:00 to 22:00 every day. Lead, train and schedule the sales team, and sell alongside them. Keep our client records complete: every client, every conversation, every follow-up. Look after stock, deposits and invoices, so that the boutique and the books always agree. Take watches in for service, keep clients informed while they are with the maker, and hand them back. Plan private viewings, launches and fairs with the owners. Report sales, stock and open orders to the owners every week. What you will bring At least seven years in luxury retail, two or more of them leading a boutique or a sales team. Experience with high-end watches is strongly preferred. Real knowledge of how watches are made, and the wish to keep learning. A record of building your own clientele. A head for detail: stock, deposits, VAT invoices and targets. Fluent English. Arabic is a strong advantage. Comfortable with a till, and with client records on a phone or tablet.
