Role Description The Cashier (Odoo) role at GenZ’s is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately using the Odoo system, handling cash and electronic payments, and issuing receipts. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming customers, answering basic inquiries about products, applying discounts or promotions as authorized, and ensuring the checkout area is clean and organized. The cashier will maintain accurate records of sales, reconcile cash drawers at the end of shifts, and report any discrepancies. The role also involves coordinating with showroom staff to ensure smooth customer flow and supporting inventory updates within Odoo when needed. Qualifications Ability to operate POS systems, preferably with hands-on experience using Odoo or similar ERP/cashier software. Strong cash-handling skills, including accurate counting, reconciliation of cash drawers, and basic math proficiency. Customer service skills with a focus on clear communication, patience, and professional, courteous interaction with diverse customers. Attention to detail and reliability in following procedures, handling sensitive financial data, and maintaining organized records. Basic understanding of retail operations, such as discounts, returns, exchanges, and inventory updates. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, including standing for extended periods and working flexible hours, weekends, or holidays as needed.
