QA/QC Officer – Central Kitchen & Meal Production

Location: Dubai Investment Park (DIP 1), Dubai, UAE Company PrepHero is a high-volume healthy meal plan company producing across multiple nutrition-focused meal plans. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA/QC Officer to support food safety, kitchen hygiene, quality control, and production coordination within our central kitchen. Job Summary The QA/QC Officer will be responsible for maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring product quality, conducting kitchen inspections, and supporting production planning and coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Lead and kitchen team to ensure food is produced safely, consistently, and on schedule. This is a hands-on role requiring both floor presence and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Food Safety & Quality Assurance Monitor compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards. Conduct daily kitchen inspections and hygiene audits. Verify temperature logs, cooling records, and food safety documentation. Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and properly documented. Monitor staff compliance with personal hygiene and food handling procedures. Conduct routine quality checks on ingredients, preparation processes, and finished meals. Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions. Prepare the kitchen for municipality, HACCP, and internal audits. Maintain all food safety records and documentation. Production Coordination & Planning Support Prepare and distribute daily production sheets. Print and organize recipe cards and production instructions. Verify production quantities against daily customer requirements. Prepare purchase requisitions and ingredient requirement reports. Coordinate with stores and purchasing to ensure ingredients are available before production begins. Monitor production progress and report delays, shortages, or operational issues. Track production errors, rework, shortages, and quality deviations. Maintain production records and daily operational reports. Assist management in identifying opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency and reduce production delays. Kitchen Hygiene & Operational Control Conduct daily opening and closing kitchen inspections. Ensure kitchen cleanliness standards are maintained at all times. Monitor equipment cleanliness and sanitation practices. Follow up with department heads on corrective actions. Report recurring operational issues and recommend improvements. Ensure all non-conformances are documented and resolved promptly. Requirements Mandatory HACCP Certification or equivalent food safety qualification. Minimum 2 years experience in a catering company, meal plan company, central kitchen, airline catering, hospital catering, or food manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Experience conducting food safety inspections and audits. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational and reporting skills. Good written and spoken English. Preferred Experience supporting production planning or kitchen operations. Experience preparing production reports and requisitions. Knowledge of inventory control and ingredient forecasting. ISO 22000 or equivalent food safety management system experience. Previous experience in high-volume food production environments. Skills & Competencies Highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
