ENVIRONMENT TECHNICIAN – WASTE MANAGEMENT
Qualifications & Experience
• Higher Secondary education with a Diploma in Environmental Science, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in waste management, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
• Valid Qatar driving licence and valid defensive driving certificate.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement waste management programmes as assigned by the client.
• Monitor produced-water sludge drying beds and supervise contractors’ daily activities.
• Submit daily field records to the Environmental Analyst.
• Collect waste samples, coordinate laboratory testing and supervise sampling during turnaround activities.
• Maintain chain-of-custody forms and deliver samples to the laboratory.
• Conduct waste and housekeeping inspections at HSE yards, plants and facilities.
• Supervise loading, unloading and temporary storage of waste consignments.
• Prepare waste statistics, environmental inspection reports and incident-related inspection reports.
