Assistant Finance Manager

Overview We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our Accounts team at Astro Offshore. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to oversee accounts payable and receivable functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely tax submissions, and compliance with financial deadlines. Responsibilities Support the Finance Manager in day-to-day financial operations and report preparation. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis (OPEC’s reports). Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and help ensure that month/year end deadlines are met. Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions, alongside the AR/AP supervisors. Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.for monitoring petty cash and reconciling it at month end. Prepare and ensure timely submission of VAT returns. Prepare and ensure timely submission of Indian Tax Returns and deal with any correspondence relating of that. Support the year end reporting deadlines for all entities Assist with crew payments and any other ad hoc payments in the absence of the Treasurer. Assist with any other ad hoc tasks that are assigned to you from the finance manager/Head of Finance. Skills & Experience Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis. Financial reporting, strong reconciliation skills, knowledge of accounting software, attention to detail, and problem-solving. Ability to handle confidential information and perform frequent multitasking. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Progress towards professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a must. Show more Show less
