Job Title: Resident Engineer – Building Projects Location: Dubai, UAE (Project Site) Positions: 1 Department: Construction Supervision Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary Al Turath Engineering Consultant LLC is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead site supervision of a building project in Dubai. The Resident Engineer will represent the Consultant on site, ensuring the works are executed in line with the approved drawings, specifications, contract documents and Dubai authority requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day construction activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards. Lead and coordinate the site supervision team (inspectors, engineers, document controllers). Review and approve contractor submittals: material submittals, method statements, shop drawings and inspection requests. Monitor the contractor’s progress against the approved programme and report delays and mitigation measures. Ensure the contractor follows the approved QA/QC procedures, and conduct and witness inspections and tests. Review and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Instructions, Requests for Information (RFIs) and Variation Orders. Verify and certify the contractor’s interim payment applications and measured quantities. Monitor HSE compliance on site and enforce safety requirements. Coordinate with the Client, Project Manager, Designers, Contractors and Authorities (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, RTA, etc.). Chair and attend site meetings, and prepare minutes, daily, weekly and monthly progress reports. Support project handover: snagging, testing and commissioning, as-built drawings, completion certificates and close-out documentation. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Engineering) from a recognised university. Minimum 15 years of total experience as a Resident Engineer in building projects (experience as a Civil Engineer will not be counted). Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in a consultancy supervising building projects. Proven experience in site supervision of building projects (high-rise, commercial, residential or mixed-use). Strong knowledge of UAE and Dubai Municipality codes, regulations and approval procedures. Registered with the Society of Engineers UAE (preferred). Excellent knowledge of contract documents (FIDIC), specifications and QA/QC procedures. Skills Strong leadership, coordination and decision-making abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Good command of MS Office, and familiarity with Primavera/MS Project. Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
