Draftsman Project: Rehabilitation of Irrigation Networks – Ghor Al-Safi / Jordan Valley Overview Hussein Atieh & Sons Co. HAE is seeking a qualified and experienced Draftsman for the Rehabilitation of Irrigation Networks – Ghor Al-Safi / Jordan Valley project. Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in preparing engineering and construction drawings, preferably for water supply, irrigation, wastewater, or other infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction details. Experience in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, layout plans, profiles, sections, and detailed drawings for pipeline networks and associated infrastructure. Knowledge of pipeline alignment, longitudinal profiles, levels, coordinates, manholes, valves, chambers, and other irrigation network components. Ability to incorporate site measurements, survey data, and Engineer's comments into revised drawings. Good understanding of drawing standards, revision control, and document management procedures. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet project deadlines. Good communication and coordination skills. Good command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken. Key Responsibilities Prepare, revise, and maintain engineering drawings in accordance with the Contract requirements, approved design documents, technical specifications, and Engineer's instructions. Prepare shop drawings, construction drawings, layout plans, longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, and detailed drawings for irrigation pipelines and associated structures. Prepare and update as-built drawings based on actual site conditions, approved modifications, and verified survey measurements. Review design drawings and identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing information for referral to the relevant engineers. Incorporate comments from the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Surveyors, and Engineer into drawings, as instructed. Coordinate with Site Engineers and Surveyors to ensure that drawings accurately reflect site conditions, pipeline alignments, elevations, coordinates, and construction requirements. Assist in preparing drawings for pipe crossings, connections to existing networks, valves, fittings, chambers, and other associated irrigation infrastructure. Ensure that drawings are properly numbered, titled, dated, revised, and maintained in accordance with project document control procedures. Maintain an organized electronic and hard-copy archive of drawings and related technical documents. Ensure that only the latest approved drawings are issued for construction and that superseded revisions are properly identified and controlled. Support the engineering and construction teams in resolving technical and drafting-related issues encountered during project execution. Prepare drawings and supporting documentation required for inspections, testing, commissioning, and final project handover. Show more Show less
