Job title: Japanese Fusion Cuisine | Robata & Hot Kitchen Cook Workplace type: On-site | Location: Kuwait | Job type: Full-time We are opening a new Japanese fusion cuisine restaurant in Kuwait and are looking for a Robata & Hot Kitchen Cook to join our founding kitchen team. About the role You will work the charcoal robata grill and the hot kitchen for a modern Japanese fusion menu, under the direction of our Executive Chef and Sous Chef. Responsibilities • Grill chicken, meat, vegetables and seafood over charcoal • Marinate and control cooking temperature and doneness • Cook hot dishes such as teriyaki, katsu, pan dishes and rice dishes • Prepare sauces and garnishes • Support breakfast service when the morning shift starts • Follow approved recipes, plating standards and food-safety rules • Set up, clean and maintain the station Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience in charcoal grilling (robata, yakitori or similar) or an Asian or fusion kitchen • Ability to work under pressure during peak service • Valid health card • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and evenings What we offer • Salary and benefits based on experience and interview • A new restaurant with a modern concept and a professional leadership team • Opportunity to grow within the kitchen Show more Show less
