Accountant

Role Description This full-time Accountant role is an on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. The role includes preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will monitor costs, analyze variances, support month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making. The position also involves maintaining organized financial records, supporting audits, and suggesting process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications Strong skills in financial accounting, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support business planning. Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to Egypt. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other office applications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
