Job Description: The Senior Technical Support Engineer provides advanced technical support to the sales team by understanding customer requirements, proposing tailored solutions, and ensuring alignment between product capabilities and client needs. The role acts as the technical bridge between sales and engineering, prepares technical and commercial proposals, manages tenders, responds to client clarifications, and mentors junior engineers. It also supports process optimization, evaluates supplier offers, and ensures commercial competitiveness. Study tenders technically and commercially to determine project feasibility. Calculate total costs and apply profit margins based on market analysis and historical data to ensure profitability. Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals through the ERP system. Issue and manage Letters of Guarantee (LGs) required for tender participation. Source, evaluate, and compare supplier offers technically and commercially to select the most competitive brands. Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers to secure optimal value and align offers with project requirements. Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with key suppliers. Handle technical clarifications, discount requests, and inquiries with clients via email, fax, or phone calls. Hand over awarded projects to the execution team upon receiving the Letter of Intent (LOI). Follow up with execution teams regarding Purchase Orders (POs), data sheets, and client approvals. Guide and mentor junior engineers in technical and commercial tendering activities. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 5–7 years of relevant experience in tendering and proposal management. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and cost estimation skills. Exceptional time management, planning, and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently or within a team.
