Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities: Develop and execute mechanical designs for transformers under defined standards and specifications. Prepare mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation using CAD tools. Select materials and components based on established guidelines and cost-performance trade-offs. Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to address design issues during manufacturing. Provide inputs to tendering teams for new proposals and product modifications. Participate in troubleshooting during development and prototyping phases. Ensure compliance with drafting standards, design accuracy, and documentation practices. Contribute to improvement initiatives for cost reduction and design efficiency. Maintain awareness of updates in design tools, methods, and industry practices. QHSE Responsibilities: Full compliance with current QHSE policies and standards is a specific responsibility of every employee. These responsibilities which are not be delegated, include: Protection and improvement of Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and security of self and others around at all times. Elimination of Quality non-conformances and HSE accidents and incidents. Ensuring consistent and continuous compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, standards and protocols. Creation of safe work environment, managing risks and reduction of exposure to liability. Actively supporting relevant levels of management in implementing Corrective and Risk mitigation actions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical design engineering Years of experience: 1- 3 years only Having experience working with transformers is preferable Fluent in English Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Show more Show less
