Crane Operator (Mobile Harbour Crane)

Summary: We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Mobile Harbour Crane Operator to handle vessel loading and unloading operations at Khor Fakkan port. The ideal candidate will operate MHCs efficiently and in line with port safety and productivity standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate mobile harbour cranes to load and discharge containers, break-bulk, and general cargo to and from vessels. Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report defects immediately. Follow stowage plans, signals from signalmen/lashers, and supervisor instructions. Maintain safe load handling and ensure accurate container positioning. Meet productivity targets (moves per hour) while following safety procedures. Comply with port HSE regulations, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work systems Coordinate with the vessel planner, yard crew, signalmen, and control room via radio. Record shift activities, delays, and equipment issues accurately. Support basic routine maintenance checks on the crane. Report incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions promptly. Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating mobile harbour cranes in a container port or terminal. Valid crane operator certification/license (MHC or equivalent). Strong understanding of container handling, spreader and hook operations. Knowledge of port safety standards and lifting regulations Ability to work in rotating shifts. Good physical fitness and visual acuity. Basic English communication skills for radio and safety instructions. Willingness to relocate to Khor Fakkan, UAE. Show more Show less
