About the opportunity Protiviti Middle East is hiring an Associate Director/Director to lead a large, multi-workstream Internal Audit and Risk Advisory programme for a diversified group with businesses across many sectors. The roles are based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with travel to client locations as needed. Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE The role You will lead delivery on a dynamic engagement with multiple workstreams running at once, shifting priorities, tight deadlines, shared resources and frequent senior stakeholder input. This is hands-on delivery leadership, not PMO or tracker management. You will also direct the use of analytics, automation, dashboards and AI across audit planning, testing and reporting. Key responsibilities Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, teams and dependencies, re-planning quickly as priorities change. Spot delivery risks, resource conflicts and scope issues early, and resolve them. Plan and deliver risk-based internal audits across operational, financial, governance, compliance and controls areas. Quickly understand unfamiliar businesses and turn their key risks into focused audit scopes. Direct and challenge technology-enabled audit, including analytics, full-population testing, automation, visualization and AI. Coding or data science skills are not required. Review work and deliver clear, practical reports to senior management. Manage senior stakeholders and lead, coach and develop delivery teams. Support business development and growth of practice. What we are looking for: Senior experience in an Internal Audit / Risk Advisory practice, a large outsourced or co-sourced IA programme, or a complex diversified or multinational organisation. Proven delivery of multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment. Practical, example-backed experience applying technology and analytics in audit. Ability to learn new businesses quickly. Specific industry experience is not required. Strong communication and stakeholder skills; willingness to travel as required. CIA, CA, ACA, CPA or ACCA preferred. Show more Show less
