Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We combine technical consulting, software engineering, and applied AI to deliver tailored solutions end to end, from understanding business needs and designing systems to development, integration, and production deployment. About the Role: Develop production AI solutions focused on LLM applications, agentic workflows, RAG, document processing, and applied machine learning. Work with the Engineering Lead, backend, and DevOps engineers to turn AI capabilities into reliable services. Key Responsibilities: ● Build AI applications and agentic workflows using Python, LangGraph, and relevant tools. ● Develop RAG and document-processing pipelines using embeddings and vector databases. ● Select and evaluate models and prompts, improving quality, performance, and cost. ● Package AI applications as services and APIs, and integrate them with backend systems. ● Build evaluations, investigate failures, and work with DevOps on deployment and production Requirements: ● Strong Python skills and experience building AI applications beyond notebooks and prototypes. ● Experience with LLMs, prompt design, tool calling, and LangGraph or a comparable framework. ● Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval techniques. ● Solid machine-learning and model-evaluation fundamentals, with familiarity with Azure AI Foundry. ● Software engineering skills, including API development, packaging, testing, Git, and Docker. ● Strong debugging skills and an understanding of secure data handling and reliable AI outputs. Additional Requirements for Senior Candidates: ● Experience designing production AI architectures and choosing between workflows, agents, RAG, and fine-tuning. ● Ability to define evaluation standards, safeguards, and production-readiness criteria. ● Experience optimizing model selection, retrieval, inference performance, and operating cost. ● Ability to review solution designs and code, assess technical risks, and improve engineering standards.
