Chief Accountant

Accountant – Oil & Gas / JV Accounting Location: Doha, Qatar Role Overview UCC Energy is looking for an experienced Accountant with strong hands-on experience in upstream oil & gas accounting and Joint Venture (JV) accounting. The role will support operated and non-operated assets, partner accounting, cash calls, billing, cost recovery and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage JV accounting (JVA/JIB) for operated and non-operated oil & gas assets. Prepare and reconcile cash calls, partner billings and JV accounts. Support monthly close and upstream accounting activities. Handle AFE accounting, exploration & evaluation costs, DD&A, impairment and decommissioning provisions. Support JOA/PSC accounting, including cost recovery, cost/profit oil, royalties and partner entitlements. Reconcile partner accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies. Support JV audits and ensure accurate, audit-ready financial records. Maintain accurate accounting data within ERP/SAP systems. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. 7+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience. Strong recent hands-on experience within an oil & gas operator and/or complex JV environment. Good knowledge of JOA/PSC, JVA/JIB, cash calls, partner billing, AFEs and JV accounting. Experience across the upstream E&P lifecycle. Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or CMA, completed or in progress. Strong ERP and Excel skills; SAP/SAP JVA experience is an advantage. Professional English and willingness to be based in Doha, Qatar.
