Assistant Service Advisor

PURPOSE OF THE JOB To assist the Service Advisor in delivering a professional customer service experience for Commercial Vehicles & Heavy Equipment customers by understanding service requirements, coordinating workshop progress, maintaining accurate job documentation and supporting timely vehicle/equipment delivery. Accountability Meet and greet customers, understand service requirements, receive enquiries and provide appropriate initial advice and updates. Initiate job cards, conduct receiving inspections, record visible damage/scratches and obtain customer acknowledgement before workshop handover. Maintain close coordination with Workshop and physically monitor work progress, keeping customers informed of job status and expected completion. Inform customers of additional work requirements, including warranty or cash repairs, and support required approvals. Verify job completion and vehicle/equipment condition, explain work performed and coordinate professional handover to the customer. Generate invoices, prepare daily invoice reports, obtain Service Manager approval and forward documentation to Finance; collect and remit customer cash to Cashier where applicable. Check customer credit limits, support recommendations to the Service Manager and escalate comeback jobs/customer complaints in line with ISO procedures. Perform assigned duties in compliance with Company QHSEMS requirements and undertake other tasks assigned by the line manager. Education Graduate, preferably in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering.
