Safety Officer

Job Summary: Manage all activities related to Security, Health, and Environment & Safety across the company to ensure 100% security, health, environment & safety. Job Location : Industrial Area, Al Mahjar Phase1 Responsibilities Investigate industrial accidents, injuries & occupational diseases causes & take preventive measures Report & review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections & environmental testing Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes Inspect facilities, machinery & safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards to ensure safety regulations in compliance to local and international safety regulations Conduct & coordinate workers training in safety laws & regulations, hazardous condition monitoring & use of safety equipment Review employee safety programs to determine employees obtained information on health & safety Interview employers and employees about work environments and workplace incidents Review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met Compile, analyze & interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents Interpret safety regulations for safety engineers, labor representatives and safety inspectors Recommend process safety methods to reduce employees' exposure to all types of hazards Conduct testing of air quality, noise, temperature & radiation levels to verify compliance with health & safety regulations. Write and revise safety regulations and codes Provide technical advice and guidance to organizations on how to handle health-related problems and make needed changes. Install safety devices on machinery, or direct device installation Consult medical professionals to assess health risks & develop ways to manage health issues Liase with fire, mutual aid societies & rescue teams so that emergency responses can be facilitated Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health inspection violations Check floors of plants to ensure that they are strong enough to support heavy machinery Plan and conduct industrial hygiene research, design and build safety equipment Qualification Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or any degree from Industrial background Must be Saudi National Skills Ability to efficiently & effectively plan & monitor tasks in a very organized & predictive manner Proficient in Microsoft Office, MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is Must Experience 2 to 3 years of experience in similar role Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders. Show more Show less
