User Experience Lead

Senior UX Lead, Experience Optimisation | Doha, Qatar We’re supporting a major client in Qatar on a national digital services programme that brings services from multiple government and private-sector entities into a single citizen-facing mobile app, serving citizens and residents in Arabic and English on iOS and Android. You will own the whole experience of the app, from first launch to a finished service, including the customer support a user contacts when something goes wrong. You will set the experience goals, agree how they are measured, and lead the work to improve those results release after release, staying hands-on in design, mainly on structure, navigation and the hardest journeys. Sponsorship/VISA will be covered by the client, you will be needed onsite in Doha. Initial 6 month freelance day rate contract, followed by Fulltime Permanent Employment direct to the client. Skills needed; 8+ years in UX and UI design, with a focus on mobile apps and transaction-based service platforms, including at least 3 years leading UX for a live, high-traffic product. A portfolio of shipped products, preferably national or large-scale service apps, financial apps or digital government services, showing decisions based on research and measured results. Expert-level Figma skills, including prototyping, auto-layout, component libraries and design tokens. Strong experience in user research, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), and bilingual design, including right-to-left Arabic layouts. Fluent English. Arabic is an advantage. Certifications (an advantage, not required): an accessibility certification such as IAAP CPACC or WAS, or a recognised UX research or design certification.
