🗂 We’re Hiring: Manager Engineering Specialist | Shoreline Protection Consultant 🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time 💼 Level: Mid-Level to Senior We are seeking a technically skilled and experienced Coastal Engineering Specialist | Shoreline Protection Consultant to support the planning, design, and implementation of coastal protection and shoreline management projects. This role focuses on assessing coastal conditions, evaluating erosion risks, developing engineering solutions, and providing recommendations to protect coastal infrastructure and natural environments. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering knowledge, analytical abilities, and an understanding of coastal processes, marine environments, and sustainable shoreline protection methods. 🎯 Key Responsibilities • Conduct coastal engineering assessments to evaluate shoreline conditions, erosion patterns, and coastal stability. • Develop shoreline protection strategies to reduce coastal erosion, flooding, and storm-related damage. • Analyze wave patterns, tides, currents, sediment movement, and other coastal processes. • Design and evaluate coastal protection structures, including seawalls, breakwaters, revetments, and drainage systems. • Conduct technical assessments for coastal infrastructure, waterfront developments, and marine construction projects. • Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, technical drawings, and project recommendations. • Coordinate with civil engineers, marine specialists, environmental consultants, contractors, and government authorities. • Evaluate the environmental impacts of proposed coastal engineering and shoreline protection solutions. • Monitor construction progress and ensure engineering work follows approved designs and technical specifications. • Recommend sustainable coastal management approaches that balance infrastructure protection with environmental conservation. • Review project budgets, technical requirements, construction schedules, and resource allocation. • Monitor developments in coastal engineering technologies, marine infrastructure standards, and shoreline management practices. ✅ Requirements • Background in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline. • Good understanding of coastal processes, shoreline dynamics, erosion control, and sediment transport. • Familiarity with coastal protection structures and marine infrastructure design principles. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey data, hydrodynamic information, and coastal assessment reports. • Knowledge of engineering design software and modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or coastal modeling applications. • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities. • Understanding of environmental impact assessments and sustainable coastal development practices. • Excellent project coordination and communication skills. • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage technical project requirements. • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
