Job Purpose
To enable data-driven decision-making across the business by building robust, reliable reporting infrastructure and translating operational and commercial data into clear, actionable insights. The role focuses on standardizing how performance is measured and reported — ensuring stakeholders across functions have accurate, timely, and consistent visibility into the metrics that matter. Structure, validate & present data to answer the ‘what’s happening’ and ‘what should we watch’ with precision and speed.
Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst will own the end-to-end delivery, planning, communication and stakeholder management of E-Commerce reporting and analytics. This role will be the key relationship owner between the business teams and the analytics delivery team, across Landmark Group brands. This is a business-facing leadership role that acts as the single point of accountability for business stakeholders on all reporting matters — while guiding and governing the analytics delivery team on approach, quality, technical depth, and timelines.
This role goes beyond ensuring reports are delivered on time — it is equally about ensuring the data tells a story. You will be responsible for the health, scalability, and relevance of the entire reporting suite across brands; for catching and resolving issues before stakeholders notice them; and for converting recurring dashboards and numbers into clear, actionable business recommendations presented confidently to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the embedded, independent point of contact for reporting/dashboarding needs across all brands' business and marketing teams— managing requests, priorities, and expectations without needing escalation.
Provide regular visibility to stakeholders and leadership on delivery status, issues, roadmap, and improvements; manage the delivery calendar with data-backed reasoning while maintaining strong relationships.
Drive structured reviews of the existing reporting suite to consolidate redundant/overlapping reports, retire low-usage dashboards, and improve performance (refresh/load time) of high-usage reports.
Challenge the team's technical approach to dashboard/pipeline design and architecture; bring industry best practices to continuously modernize the reporting suite.
Establish proactive monitoring/alerting mechanisms (with the team, Data Engineering & Platform) to catch missing reports, broken/incomplete data, or pipeline failures before stakeholders notice; drive timely root-cause resolution with the right teams.
Own transparent, timely communication to business stakeholders — at the point of issue identification and through to resolution.
Push the team beyond "build and deliver" — probe data for trends, anomalies, and patterns across brands, and surface these proactively; personally review key dashboards with an analytical lens, asking "so what" and "why."
Partner with brand stakeholders to understand business context (campaigns, launches, funnel shifts) so reporting is paired with commentary and recommendations, not just numbers; scope deep-dives, cohort analyses, or forecasting exercises where they add more value than standard reports.
Build a narrative/storytelling layer on top of dashboards for leadership and brand reviews, translating metrics into business implications and recommended actions.
Manage and mentor Leads (hands-on delivery + day-to-day team management of analysts) on technical approach, analytical depth, prioritization, and people development.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Job Experience
8–10 years in business analytics, reporting, or BI roles, preferably in ecommerce, retail, or a similarly data-dense environment.
2–4 years in a people/stakeholder management role.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders/brands in parallel, with competing priorities, in a fast-paced environment.
Experience setting up or driving monitoring/alerting/quality-control mechanisms for reporting/data pipelines.
Cross-functional experience working closely with e-commerce reporting/analytics (Customer, Category, Marketing, or Product), preferably in retail/fashion/lifestyle domains.
Prior experience managing or mentoring Leads/Managers who in turn manage larger teams; exposure to onshore/offshore delivery models is a strong plus.
Required Skills
Advanced SQL; working knowledge of Python/PySpark/R and cloud data platforms (Azure/similar) — to question approach and review logic.
Strong understanding of dashboarding/visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/similar), data pipelines, ETL, and reporting architecture.
Familiarity with Google Analytics/Adobe Omniture/BigQuery and e-commerce funnel metrics.
Working understanding of statistical concepts — regressions, forecasting, segmentation — to guide the team toward deeper insight generation.
Strong data storytelling and presentation skills — able to translate data into a clear business narrative for senior leadership.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable pushing back and managing expectations independently.
Strong planning and prioritization skills to manage SLAs, capacity, and expectations across multiple brands simultaneously
