Senior Database Administrator

Key Accountabilities: Monitor database performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and other objects to support application requirements. Implement and maintain database security controls and policies to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or disclosure. Troubleshoot database-related problems, working closely with application developers and system administrators to resolve issues in a timely manner. Implement and manage database high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as clustering, replication, and backup/recovery strategies. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 3 years of experience as a database administrator, with a focus on managing large-scale database environments. Proficiency in database technologies such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. Strong understanding of database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
