Senior Developer Experience Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, Onsite About the Opportunity We are partnering with a leading technology organization in Abu Dhabi that is looking for an experienced Senior Developer Experience Engineer to join its newly established Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and enhancing an Internal Developer Platform, introducing AI-powered development tools, automation and self-service capabilities to improve engineering productivity. You will work across multiple engineering teams and technology stacks, developing innovative solutions within highly secure, on-premise and air-gapped environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain internal developer platforms, tools and automation to improve software development workflows. Evaluate and integrate AI-powered developer tools, including AI-assisted code generation, reviews and testing. Implement and manage LLMOps and AIOps solutions within secure, on-premise environments. Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines, build processes and deployment automation. Build developer-facing applications, self-service portals and command-line tools (CLIs). Integrate AI model management solutions, including model training workflows and dataset management. Develop monitoring dashboards to track AI performance, reliability, latency and adoption. Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, Architecture and Software Engineering teams to identify challenges and implement effective solutions. Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies across internal engineering teams. Key Requirements Strong background in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Developer Experience or DevOps. Proven experience developing internal tools, automation solutions or developer platforms. Strong programming skills in Python, Go or Shell scripting. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation and containerisation. Experience with LLMOps, AIOps or AI-powered development tools. Experience working with on-premise, air-gapped or highly secure infrastructure environments. Familiarity with technologies such as GitLab, Terraform, Docker and Linux. Strong understanding of modern software development, testing and deployment practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, with an MSc or equivalent preferred. Technology Stack Languages: Python, Go, Shell.
