Production General Manager - pharma industry

Role Description The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations at Atco Pharma’s on-site facility in Markaz Qowesna in a full-time capacity. This role includes planning and organizing production schedules, managing production teams, and ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Production Manager will monitor equipment performance, optimize processes, and coordinate with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to maintain efficient workflows. Responsibilities also encompass implementing GMP and ISO standards on the production floor, managing documentation, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. The role requires active leadership on-site, hands-on problem solving, and clear communication with cross-functional stakeholders. Qualifications Strong experience in pharmaceutical production management, including planning, organizing, and supervising manufacturing operations within GMP-compliant environments. Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to human and veterinary pharmaceutical products, with proven ability to implement and maintain compliance. Leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance monitoring, coaching, and fostering a culture of safety and quality. Operational excellence skills such as process optimization, problem solving, root cause analysis, and familiarity with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles. Competence in production documentation, batch record review, and coordination with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related scientific discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a production or manufacturing leadership role, and familiarity with audit processes.
