Job Purpose: Responsible for creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces by assessing space requirements, determining optimal furniture placement, and selecting decorative items while adhering to relevant regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Design Concept Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences and develop design concepts that align with the project scope and objectives. Space Planning: Prepare detailed space plans that optimize the use of interior spaces, considering factors such as functionality, safety, and aesthetics. Material and Product Selection: Choose appropriate materials, furnishings, and decorative items, ensuring they meet client specifications and project requirements. Drafting and Documentation: Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models using AutoCAD and other design software, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines. Client Presentations: Present design concepts and plans to clients, incorporating their feedback and making necessary adjustments. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of design plans. Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Budget Management: Assist in preparing project budgets, ensuring that designs are cost-effective and within budget constraints. Quality Control: Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of projects and ensure that design specifications are being met. Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technology to continuously improve design offerings. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design briefs, material specifications, and progress reports/ Internal & External Relationships: Design Manager, Design Team, Project Managers, Site Supervisors. Clients, Consultants, Suppliers. Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of professional interior design experience, preferably within the fit-out industry. Skills & Competencies Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design software. Strong creative vision combined with solid technical design knowledge. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage clients, contractors, and internal teams.
