Kristina Fidelskaya is looking for a talented and highly precise Pattern Maker to join its Dubai atelier and develop patterns for collections, bespoke pieces and made-to-measure garments. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who understands fit, proportion and construction deeply and takes pride in the quality of every pattern they produce. Working closely with the Head of Atelier and Founder and Creative Director Kristina Fidelskaya, the Pattern Maker will translate sketches, silhouettes and creative references into accurate patterns that become beautifully fitting finished garments. The role combines technical precision, craftsmanship and close collaboration with the atelier team. The Role The Pattern Maker is responsible for turning creative ideas into technically correct patterns, from first draft through toiles and fittings to final production-ready versions. You will develop new patterns, refine them through fittings, grade them where required and make sure that every garment fits the way the house intends. A key part of the role is making sure that patterns are not only technically correct, but capture the femininity, balance and elegance of Kristina Fidelskaya silhouettes. This is a practical, hands-on position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working at the table, solving fit challenges and seeing a garment improve with every fitting. Key Responsibilities Pattern Development Develop patterns for collection pieces from sketches, references and creative direction. Translate the Creative Director’s vision into accurate and well-balanced patterns. Use both flat pattern cutting and draping where required. Prepare patterns for: toiles; first samples; fittings; final samples; production. Refine patterns after each fitting and keep versions clearly recorded. Grade patterns into the required size range. Prepare clear technical notes for tailors and seamstresses. Maintain an organised archive of patterns and blocks. Fittings & Refinement Take part in fittings with models, clients and the creative team. Identify fit issues quickly and propose practical corrections. Adjust proportion, balance and ease to achieve the intended silhouette. Work closely with the atelier team to make sure corrections are applied correctly. Recognise when a garment fits correctly but still needs refinement to feel elegant and consistent with the house. Bespoke & Made-to-Measure * Develop individual patterns from client measurements. * Adapt existing collection patterns for made-to-measure orders. * Prepare patterns for alterations and client-specific adjustments. * Support fittings for bespoke clients together with the Head of Atelier. * Maintain a high standard of accuracy and personal attention throughout the process. Technical Knowledge The successful candidate should have strong working knowledge of luxury womenswear, including: flat pattern cutting; draping; grading; tailoring; corsetry and structured garments; eveningwear; silk and delicate fabrics; structured and fluid silhouettes; made-to-measure and bespoke. Atelier Collaboration Work closely with the Head of Atelier on priorities and deadlines. Communicate clearly with tailors and seamstresses about construction details. Support colleagues with technical questions on fit and construction. Contribute to a calm, professional and quality-driven working environment. What Success Looks Like In this role, success means: patterns are accurate from the first toile; fewer fittings are needed to reach the final fit; silhouettes stay true to the creative intention; pattern versions are clearly organised and easy to find; bespoke garments fit clients beautifully; production receives clear and correct patterns; the atelier team can rely on your patterns without repeated corrections. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone with approximately 4–8 years of pattern making experience in luxury womenswear, eveningwear, couture, bridal, bespoke or another technically demanding fashion environment. You may currently be working as: Pattern Maker; Pattern Cutter; Senior Pattern Cutter; Garment Technician with strong pattern skills; Couture Pattern Maker; or in a comparable technical fashion role. What We Are Looking For Strong flat pattern cutting and draping skills. Deep understanding of fit, proportion and garment construction. Experience working with high-quality womenswear and delicate fabrics. Experience with grading. Knowledge of pattern software (e.g. Gerber, Lectra or CLO 3D) is an advantage. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage several patterns and deadlines simultaneously. Clear communication with the atelier and creative team. Professional English. Based in Dubai or willing to relocate. Personal Qualities You are likely to succeed at Kristina Fidelskaya if you are: precise; patient; organised; detail-oriented; technically confident; open to feedback; solutions-focused; collaborative; passionate about fit and craftsmanship. You should enjoy the process of refining a garment until it is exactly right. The right person will understand that a beautiful garment begins with a beautiful pattern. Why Join Kristina Fidelskaya Kristina Fidelskaya is entering a new phase with an increasing focus on craftsmanship, bespoke, atelier development and a closer relationship with its clients.
