Estimation Engineer - HVAC

The Estimation Engineer – HVAC is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for HVAC projects by reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs. The role involves quantity take-offs, supplier and subcontractor coordination, cost analysis, and preparation of competitive tenders in line with project requirements. Roles and responsibilities: Review tender documents, HVAC drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand project requirements. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC systems, including ductwork, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, insulation, and related accessories. Prepare cost estimates for HVAC equipment, materials, labour, installation, testing, and commissioning. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare RFQs and follow up with suppliers to obtain competitive prices. Analyse supplier quotations and compare technical and commercial offers. Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements. Identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential risks in tender documents. Prepare cost breakdowns, rate analysis, and tender submissions within the specified deadlines. Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation without compromising quality or technical requirements. Maintain records of quotations, cost estimates, and tender documentation. Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide support during commercial negotiations. Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and company procedures. Must have skills: Bachelor's or Master's Degree is Mechanical Engineering or similar 5+ years of relevant experience in Estimation for HVAC projects in an MEP Company Experience in creating accurate cost estimates and quotations for HVAC projects Strong understanding of quantity take-offs, supplier and subcontractor coordination, cost analysis, and preparation of competitive tenders Show more Show less
