Swimming Coach

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Swimming Coach role based at Sama Sports Academy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Swimming Coach will plan and deliver structured swim lessons for different age groups and skill levels, focusing on water safety, stroke development, and overall aquatic confidence. Daily responsibilities include assessing swimmers’ abilities, creating progressive training plans, demonstrating proper techniques, and providing individualized feedback and correction. The coach will monitor pool safety, enforce academy rules, coordinate with other staff to schedule sessions, and maintain accurate records of attendance and swimmer progress. The role also involves communicating with parents and guardians, preparing swimmers for competitions or assessments, and supporting a positive, inclusive training environment. Qualifications Strong Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons skills to teach and coach swimmers of varying ages and abilities. Proficient Swimming and Aquatics skills to demonstrate techniques and ensure effective skill development. Knowledge of Lifeguarding practices and water safety to maintain a safe training environment. Relevant coaching or swim teaching certifications (e.g., recognized swimming federation or coaching body). Experience working with children and youth in a sports or educational setting. Ability to communicate clearly, motivate swimmers, and foster an inclusive, respectful atmosphere. Basic first aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these certifications.
