Investment Advisor / Portfolio Manager – International Wealth Management and MFO firm

On behalf of our client, a prestigious International Wealth Management and MFO firm based in the DIFC specialising in private banking and wealth-management solutions, Swisslinx Middle East is seeking an Investment Advisor / Portfolio Manager to join its growing Dubai office. PORTFOLIO MANAGER / INVESTMENT ADVISOR Profile Independent and autonomous Reliable and trustworthy Flexible and adaptable Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented Education & Experience University degree (or equivalent), preferably in Economics, Finance or a related field Additional qualifications such as CFA, CIIA, CFPI or similar are an advantage Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a similar portfolio manager/investment advisor role Skills & Competencies Deep knowledge of financial instruments, financial analysis, and portfolio construction Strong understanding of the banking and wealth management industry Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Bloomberg Terminal Solid knowledge of macroeconomics trends and their impact on investment strategy Languages English: fluent (required) French: a strong asset Third language: an advantage Key attributes Strong client service orientation Highly organized, precise, and detail-oriented Responsible and rigorous Autonomous, engaged, and proactive Flexible and collaborative team player Tasks & Responsibilities Relationship Manager (RM) Support Collaborate closely with RMs to understand client needs, objectives, and risk profiles Actively support the RM in client meetings and follow-ups, including preparation of investment proposal and presentations Design tailored investment strategies in line with client profiles and market views and conduct portfolio reviews (discretionary and advisory mandates) Monitor client portfolios and proactively suggest rebalancing or repositioning when needed Explain Swisslinx Middle East DMCC's investment philosophy and strategy Conduct and document suitability assessments for all investment recommendations. Maintain thorough records of investment rationales, including minutes of advisory discussions where required Liaise with compliance when needed to address regulatory or procedural issues Oversee and coordinate trade execution in collaboration with internal/external platforms or custodians Stay abreast of market developments and proactively inform clients as appropriate Investment Committee (IC) Actively participate in IC meetings and discussions Contribute investment ideas and insights Collaborate in the preparation of IC documentation Communicate IC strategies to internal stakeholders and clients Fund/Product Committee (Liquid & Private Assets) Propose new product idea Participate in fund/product analysis Present and explain investment products to internal teams and clients Show more Show less
