Nutraceutical Delivery Systems & Functional Excipients Manager – Qatar
Location: Doha, Qatar
Employment Type: Full-time
Workplace: Hybrid / Technical & Customer-facing
Regional Scope: Qatar | Selected GCC Projects
Palomba General Trading LLC is seeking an experienced Nutraceutical Delivery Systems & Functional Excipients Manager to support manufacturers developing gummies, sachets, powders, effervescents, syrups, oral liquids and other modern nutraceutical dosage forms.
The role combines functional excipients, formulation systems and application development.
This is not a conventional ingredient-sales position.
The successful candidate should understand how excipients, carriers, hydrocolloids, sweeteners and delivery technologies influence the performance of the final product.
Core Mission
The objective is to help customers move from:
Active Ingredient → Suitable Delivery System → Functional Excipient Selection → Prototype → Technical Optimization → Commercial Product
The role will focus particularly on nutraceutical and healthcare formulations where the success of the product depends not only on the active ingredient, but also on:
texture;
stability;
dispersibility;
solubility;
taste;
mouthfeel;
release;
processing behaviour;
shelf life.
Key Responsibilities
Work directly with nutraceutical manufacturers and formulation teams.
Understand customer dosage-form and formulation requirements.
Recommend suitable functional excipients and delivery systems.
Support development of gummies, powders, sachets and effervescent products.
Support syrup and oral-liquid formulation projects.
Coordinate samples and technical documentation.
Assist customers during formulation trials.
Identify technical issues related to texture, stability, solubility and taste.
Coordinate supplier technical support.
Evaluate alternative excipient grades and systems.
Support reformulation and optimization projects.
Identify cross-functional opportunities between pharma, nutraceutical and food technologies.
Support customer-specific delivery concepts.
Provide technical input to the PGT commercial team.

Projects may involve:
Powder flow
Dispersibility
Instantization
Agglomeration
Carrier selection
Hygroscopicity
Taste masking
Active distribution

Candidate Profile
5+ years in Nutraceutical Formulation, Functional Excipients, Food Technology, Pharmaceutical Applications or related areas.
Degree in Pharmacy, Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline.
Experience with at least two of the following formats: gummies, powders, sachets, effervescents, syrups or oral liquids.
Strong understanding of functional excipients.
Experience working with hydrocolloids or formulation systems.
Ability to support technical customer projects.
Experience working with nutraceutical manufacturers highly valued.
GCC or Middle East experience preferred.
Fluent English required.
Arabic is an advantage.
Ideal Background
Relevant candidates may currently work as:

Technical Service Manager – Nutraceutical Ingredients
Product Development Scientist
Functional Ingredients Application Specialist
What We Offer
Competitive fixed salary.
Performance-based bonus.
Technical responsibility for Qatar and selected GCC projects.
Access to international excipient and formulation suppliers.
Direct interaction with nutraceutical manufacturers.
Opportunity to help build the PGT functional excipients platform.
High degree of technical autonomy.
Participation in new formulation and delivery-system projects.
Who We Are Looking For
We want someone who understands that the same botanical active may require completely different excipient systems depending on whether the customer wants:
a gummy;
an effervescent tablet;
a sachet;
a powder drink;
or a syrup.
The candidate should be able to determine:
What delivery system is most appropriate?
Which excipients are technically necessary?
What creates the desired texture?
How should bitterness be managed?
Will the active remain stable?
Is the system commercially scalable?
Can the customer manufacture it on existing equipment?
Which supplier technology offers the strongest solution?
The objective is to develop technically robust nutraceutical delivery systems rather than simply supplying individual raw materials.
