About the Job The Assistant Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and employee development initiatives across the organization. This role plays a key part in enhancing employee performance, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving engagement programs that improve employee retention and the overall employee experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing the organization's Learning & Development (L&D) strategy. Identify training needs through performance reviews, employee feedback, and operational requirements. Coordinate and facilitate training programs, including onboarding, technical, compliance, and soft skills training. Support leadership development, talent management, and succession planning initiatives. Monitor training effectiveness and evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of learning programs. Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with all mandatory training requirements. Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and retention. Plan, coordinate, and execute employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs. Support initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture. Drive internal communication programs that strengthen employee connection, engagement, and organizational alignment. Assist in developing and monitoring Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for employees. Identify high-potential employees and support talent development and career progression initiatives. Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and address development needs. Ensure effective orientation and onboarding programs for new hires to support smooth integration into the organization. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to training, development, and engagement activities. Work closely with Human Resources, department heads, and leadership teams to implement L&D and employee engagement initiatives. Coordinate with external training providers, consultants, and vendors as required. Ensure all learning, development, and engagement initiatives comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Prepare training and engagement reports, dashboards, and analytics to measure program effectiveness and support decision-making. Continuously seek innovative learning solutions and employee engagement best practices to enhance the overall employee experience. About You Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. 4 to 6 years of experience in Learning & Development, Human Resources, or Employee Engagement. Experience in the hospitality industry or multi-property organizations is an advantage. Professional certification in training, learning, or facilitation is an added advantage. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative thinking with the ability to design and deliver engaging learning and engagement programs. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to influence, build relationships, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proactive, energetic, and people-oriented with a passion for developing and engaging employees.
