Fabricator & Welder

General Description The Fabricator & Welder 1 is responsible for reading technical drawings, cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components for structures, machinery, or products. The role requires strong attention to detail, precision, and knowledge of various welding techniques and materials. The role will also responsible as well in working along with other AMO workshop technicians, maintaining safety protocols, and optimizing production processes. Key Responsibilities Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Fabricate metal components and structures using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Perform MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas welding depending on project requirements. Set up and operate fabrication machinery such as press brakes, shears, grinders, etc. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Conduct repairs, modifications, and maintenance on metal structures or parts. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with fabrication & welding foreman, service coordinators, workshop supervisor, workshop manager and fabrication manager to ensure job requirements are met. Work with all AMO workshops for fabrication - new builds, reworks and repairs of all SER and GWC steel assets and accessories. Ensure that day to day works is following Action’s HSE practices and work in a responsible manner. Qualification Requirements High school diploma or technical certification in welding or fabrication. Minimum 9 years of experience as a fabricator and welder. Proficient in TIG, SMAW and other welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, etc. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
