Wildlife Veterinarian

Main Responsibilities: Train the team and ensure that procedures and work practices are correctly followed and implemented. Support disease prevention and health monitoring of Houbara breeding. Ensure appropriate prophylactic measures are implemented. Maintain biosecurity standards within breeding operations. Ensure compliance with quality procedures. Comply with hygiene, health, and safety instructions, particularly regarding the use of equipment, machinery, and chemicals. Provide individual and flock medicine for different animal categories, including birds and wild mammals, covering treatment, surgeries, hospitalized animal follow-up, anaesthesia, and teleanaesthesia. Conduct necropsies for individual and flock diagnosis and surveillance. Ensure appropriate sampling, sample processing, and laboratory analysis requests and interpretation for diagnosis and surveillance. Ensure communication and follow-up of analyses and samples with internal and external laboratories. Actively participate in and supervise specific veterinary experiments and veterinary research. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data collected by the team. Communicate performance, analyze data, and prepare reports. Requirements: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). At least 3 years of professional experience. Experience in wildlife and avian medicine is required. Knowledge of veterinary medicine and necropsy (gross pathology). Knowledge of anaesthesia, including teleanaesthesia, and surgery. Knowledge of epidemiology and surveillance. Knowledge of biosecurity, including hygiene and sanitary prophylaxis. Knowledge of laboratory analyses, including sampling, types of analyses, and interpretation. Data analysis skills. Show more Show less
