Senior Backend / Workflow Engineer (m/f/d)

Build the Systems Behind Enterprise Transformation We are seeking a Senior Backend / Workflow Engineer to design and build the services, workflows, and orchestration platforms powering large-scale enterprise products. This is not a traditional API development role. You'll build workflow engines, transactional systems, approval processes, integrations, and business-critical services that support thousands of users and complex operational processes. What You'll Do Develop scalable backend services and APIs Build workflow engines and state-management systems Design resilient enterprise integrations Model complex approval processes and long-running transactions Implement event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing Build secure, auditable, highly available systems Collaborate closely with AI, product, and engineering teams Influence platform architecture and engineering standards What We're Looking For 6+ years of backend software engineering experience Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, C#, or Node.js Experience building production-grade APIs and services Strong data modelling and relational database knowledge Experience with event-driven and distributed systems Containerisation and cloud-native development experience Strong understanding of system reliability, security, and scalability Nice to Have Temporal, Camunda, BPMN, or workflow platforms Kafka, RabbitMQ, Event Hubs, or Service Bus technologies ERP and SAP integrations Kubernetes and cloud platforms Enterprise-scale transaction systems Why Join You'll work on highly scalable systems that sit at the heart of modern enterprise operations and digital transformation.
