IT Operations Specialist

Company: Al Safadi Hospitality Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time Experience: Minimum 5 years About the Role Al Safadi Hospitality is looking for a hands-on IT Operations Specialist with a strong background in retail, hospitality, or multi-branch operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in ERP and POS systems, IT infrastructure, networking, and security, with the ability to independently manage daily IT operations, resolve critical issues, and ensure business continuity across all locations. Key Responsibilities ERP & POS: Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Squirrel POS, and LS Retail, including user access, configurations, troubleshooting, transactions, and end-of-day operations. Business Applications: Support Smart Attendance, Sky Bayan HR, CrunchTime, and Convox call center systems, including user management, devices, and system connectivity. Networking & Security: Configure and maintain routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and FortiGate firewalls, including security policies and site-to-site connectivity. Systems Administration: Manage Microsoft 365, email accounts, user permissions, antivirus, backups, and system updates. Technical Support: Troubleshoot computers, printers, CCTV, POS terminals, and other IT equipment across multiple locations. IT Operations: Independently handle daily IT activities, technical incidents, escalations, and operational priorities. Vendor Management: Coordinate with software and IT service providers to resolve issues, including ERP/POS integration problems. Branch Openings: Coordinate IT infrastructure, POS installations, testing, and go-live support for new locations. Documentation & Training: Maintain IT asset records, technical documentation, and provide system training to employees. Business Continuity: Ensure system availability, minimize downtime, and provide urgent technical support outside regular working hours when required. Perform any other duties assigned by Management within the scope of the role. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT experience, preferably in retail, supermarkets, restaurant chains, or multi-branch operations. Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Hands-on experience with POS systems; Squirrel POS or LS Retail preferred. Strong knowledge of networking, FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft 365, and IT security. CCNA certification required; CCNP, Fortinet, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage. Valid UAE driving license is mandatory. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
