Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Oracle databases in production environments. Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting. Manage backup and recovery using RMAN. Implement and support RAC and Data Guard configurations. Apply database patches and upgrades with minimal downtime. Ensure database security (encryption, auditing, access control). Perform capacity planning and monitoring. Automate DBA tasks using scripting. Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams. Participate in on-call support. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments, with strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration. Hands-on experience with Oracle RMAN, including backup and recovery operations. Strong experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Exadata architecture and administration. In-depth knowledge of database security, including encryption, auditing, and access management. Experience in database patching, including applying critical patches and updates with minimal downtime. Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems, including scripting and automation. Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring, performance management, and tuning. Solid understanding of database high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions. Experience in database capacity planning, monitoring, and performance optimization. Familiarity with the banking industry and its specific database requirements. Experience administering other database platforms, such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, as well as familiarity with relational and NoSQL database technologies.
