This is an opportunity to join an established technology organisation and contribute to the design and development of high-performance, scalable and enterprise-grade distributed applications. We are looking for an engineering professional who combines strong architectural capabilities with exceptional hands-on development skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of complex technical challenges, making critical design decisions and building robust solutions that perform at scale. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade Java applications and microservices using Core Java and Spring Boot. Drive solution architecture, technical design and engineering decisions across complex application environments. Develop high-performance applications with a strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, concurrency and performance optimisation. Design and implement efficient caching strategies using Redis and other distributed caching technologies. Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices. Design, optimise and manage relational and NoSQL databases for high-volume transactional and distributed environments. Develop and manage event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging platforms. Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex production issues and implement scalable engineering solutions. Establish technical best practices around code quality, application security, scalability and maintainability. Take end-to-end ownership of technical deliverables, from architecture and development through deployment and optimisation. Required Technical Expertise Core Development Advanced Core Java and modern Java programming. Spring Boot, Spring Framework and Microservices. Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms. Multithreading, concurrency and JVM performance tuning. Distributed Systems & Integration Distributed systems architecture. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ and event-driven systems. REST APIs and enterprise application integration. Redis and low-latency caching. Cloud & Infrastructure Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud-native application development. CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices. Database Technologies Strong SQL database expertise. NoSQL databases and data modelling. Database performance tuning and optimisation. Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Java engineering. Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex, scalable applications. Strong architectural understanding combined with excellent hands-on coding capabilities. Experience handling high-throughput, low-latency and distributed application environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical decision-making abilities. A proven track record of delivering production-grade enterprise applications.
