Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing machinery and equipment used in the production of personal care and hygiene products. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing mechanical designs and CAD models, overseeing installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot technical issues, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to research and development projects, evaluate new technologies, and support cost-effective engineering solutions aligned with business objectives. Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to manufacturing processes and equipment. Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for developing, modifying, and optimizing mechanical components and systems. Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing timelines and resources. Background in Research and Development (R&D), with skills in technical analysis, prototyping, and evaluating new materials or technologies. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in personal care, hygiene, or related fast-moving consumer goods sectors. Knowledge of safety standards, quality systems, and preventive maintenance practices for production machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals; strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a diverse work environment. Willingness to work on-site in Ras al-Khaimah and support flexible shifts or extended hours when required by production needs. Show more Show less
