About Dwelleo
Dwelleo is an AI-powered real estate marketplace transforming how people search, buy, sell, and rent properties across Saudi Arabia.
The platform combines machine learning, intelligent discovery tools, and data-driven insights to connect buyers, renters, brokers, and developers through a seamless, scalable digital experience.
At its core, Dwelleo embeds AI directly into the product — powering pricing, recommendations, search, and decision-making across the entire property journey.
Software Engineer (Junior/Mid) — AI-Native Full-Stack
Oct 29, 2026 · @Someone
About the role
We are hiring a Junior or Mid-level Software Engineer who writes real code in PHP (Laravel), Node.js/TypeScript and React/Next.js, and uses AI tools to ship it faster and better. You are an engineer first: AI is your accelerator, not your substitute for understanding.
Dwelleo is a bilingual (Arabic/English) AI-powered real estate marketplace operating in Saudi Arabia. We build for brokers, agents, developers and property seekers: listings, a subscriber CRM, financing tools, and an AI Sales Agent that qualifies leads over voice and WhatsApp. You will join an engineering team of about 19 people across backend, frontend and QA.
Location: [Remote / Hybrid — to confirm] · Type: Full-time · Level: Junior (1–2 years) or Mid (2–4 years)
What you'll do
Build and maintain Laravel services and APIs in our microservices monorepo: integrations, webhooks, queued jobs, scheduled commands.
Build TypeScript/Node.js services and contribute to our Next.js marketplace and dashboards, including Arabic (RTL) and English layouts.
Design database tables, migrations and queries in PostgreSQL and MySQL, and make them fast with the right indexes.
Integrate third-party APIs (payments, WhatsApp, voice providers, CRM) safely: retries, idempotency, signature verification.
Write unit and feature tests, and keep CI green.
Review AI-generated code, yours and others', for correctness, security and fit with our architecture before it merges.
Take tickets from spec to production with your chapter lead, ask the right questions early, and own what you ship.
Must-have skills
PHP and Laravel: 1+ year of production work. You understand Eloquent, migrations, queues, service providers, middleware and dependency injection, not just how to scaffold them.
Node.js and TypeScript: you have built at least one backend service or API, and you understand async/await, error handling and types.
React and Next.js: components, hooks, state, data fetching, and the difference between server and client rendering.
SQL: you write joins and aggregations by hand, can read a query plan, and know when an index helps.
Software fundamentals: HTTP and REST, authentication basics, data structures, and debugging without guessing.
Git: branches, pull requests, rebasing, and resolving conflicts.
Testing: you have written tests (PHPUnit/Pest, Jest/Vitest or similar) and understand why they matter.
English: clear written English for tickets, pull requests and code review.
How we expect you to use AI
We expect AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar) to be part of your daily workflow. What we look for is judgment, not tool familiarity.
You use AI to move faster on things you understand: scaffolding, refactors, tests, boilerplate, documentation, exploring an unfamiliar codebase.
You read and understand every line before you commit it, and you can explain it in review without the tool open.
You spot when AI output is wrong: invented APIs, insecure code, N+1 queries, missing edge cases, code that ignores our existing patterns.
You give the tool good context (specs, existing code, constraints) and break work into steps rather than asking for everything at once.
You know when to stop prompting and think, debug or read the documentation yourself.
You never paste secrets, credentials or customer personal data into AI tools.
In interviews we will ask you to work without AI for part of the time and with it for the rest. We want to see both.
Nice to have
Experience with queues and messaging (Laravel Horizon, Redis, RabbitMQ).
Docker and basic AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) or other cloud deployment experience.
Building with LLM APIs: calling a model from your own code, handling structured outputs, cost and latency.
Payment gateway, WhatsApp Business API or voice-agent integrations.
Odoo or other ERP/CRM integration work.
Arabic language skills, or experience building RTL interfaces.
Python, for reading or contributing to our AI services.
Real estate, proptech or fintech domain exposure.
This role is not for you if
Your main experience is prompting AI tools to generate apps and deploying them, without writing or debugging code yourself.
You cannot explain how the code in your portfolio works, or change it without regenerating it.
You are looking for a no-code, automation-platform or prompt-engineering role.
We value AI fluency highly, but only on top of real engineering skill.
