Job Title: Senior Event-Driven Architecture Specialist Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: 100% Remote — Work From Home About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Event-Driven Architecture Specialist to design and optimize scalable, event-driven systems across enterprise applications. The successful candidate will develop reliable asynchronous communication patterns, improve system resilience, and ensure efficient event processing across distributed services. Key Responsibilities Design and implement event-driven architectures using messaging systems and event streaming platforms. Develop event-driven integration patterns for microservices and distributed applications. Configure and optimize event producers, consumers, brokers, topics, and message-processing workflows. Implement event ordering, retry mechanisms, idempotency, dead-letter queues, and error recovery strategies. Evaluate event consistency, delivery guarantees, fault tolerance, and system scalability. Optimize event throughput, processing latency, and resource utilization. Integrate event streaming platforms with APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise systems. Monitor event pipelines and troubleshoot message delays, duplication, delivery failures, and processing bottlenecks. Establish architectural standards, event schemas, versioning policies, and documentation. Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and architecture teams to improve system reliability and deployment practices. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in distributed systems, backend engineering, or software architecture. Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and microservices. Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, cloud messaging services, or equivalent technologies. Knowledge of event sourcing, CQRS, message delivery semantics, and schema evolution. Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, C#, or another backend programming language. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
